Governance

Alison Whittaker

Alison was co-opted onto the governing body of Hutton Rudby Primary School in November 2022 and an active member of the federation process during May 2024. She has continued as the Safeguarding Governor with Synergy Schools Federation. She recently retired after 38 years working in primary education in schools in different parts of the UK. After teaching throughout the primary age range, she spent the last 13 years of her career as a headteacher in North Yorkshire, where she was also the SEND Co-ordinator and Designated Safeguarding Lead. Alison brings knowledge and experience of all aspects of primary education, safeguarding and school budgets to our governing body. She enjoys singing in a choir, walking and being with her young grandchildren.

About Synergy Schools

Synergy Schools is a federation of primary schools in the north of North Yorkshire. The federation was formed in September 2018 when Brompton-on-Swale and Crakehall Church of England Primary Schools successfully shared senior leadership capacity. In July 2021, the federation welcomed Leeming & Londonderry Community Primary and Pickhill Church of England Primary school into the federation.
