I am delighted to welcome you to our wonderful, small village school. We have between 30 and 50 children on role, taught between 2 classes which are supported by a team of incredible staff who have your children’s best interests at heart. At Pickhill we make it our priority to know and understand your individual children. We recognise that every child is unique and ensure we tailor our curriculum to nurture the needs of your children, so that we can enable every child to "let their light shine!".

Just a quick final thank you. Thank you to the whole Pickhill school community for being simply incredible. Yesterday was so touching, and I was completely overwhelmed by the kind words in your cards, the thoughtful gifts and the wonderful assembly. I’m going to miss you all more than you know. We are delighted to celebrate one of our pupils, who has achieved the incredible honour of being named Reserve Young Handler Champion at the Great Yorkshire Show. After winning her class and then competing against the winners from every under-16 sheep handling class across all breeds, she was praised by the judge for her outstanding knowledge and excellent handling skills—an amazing achievement that we are all very proud of. 🌟
