Pickhill Church of England Primary Voluntary Controlled School school is a small friendly school with strong links to the local community.

I am delighted to welcome you to our wonderful, small village school. We have between 30 and 50 children on role, taught between 2 classes which are supported by a team of incredible staff who have your children’s best interests at heart. At Pickhill we make it our priority to know and understand your individual children. We recognise that every child is unique and ensure we tailor our curriculum to nurture the needs of your children, so that we can enable every child to "let their light shine!".

STEM Club ✨ This afternoon, we explored different areas of STEM through a variety of hands-on activities. Some children carried out science experiments and watched the exciting chemical reaction between citrus juice and bicarbonate of soda, creating lots of fizzy fun!🍋‍🟩 🍋 Others used their engineering skills to design and build a den, while some got creative using paper and tissue to make their own creations. ⛺️ Club was packed with activities to spark curiosity and encourage exploration! We had a great time learning and experimenting together! ✨🧠

About Synergy Schools

Synergy Schools is a federation of primary schools in the north of North Yorkshire. The federation was formed in September 2018 when Brompton-on-Swale and Crakehall Church of England Primary Schools successfully shared senior leadership capacity. In July 2021, the federation welcomed Leeming & Londonderry Community Primary and Pickhill Church of England Primary school into the federation.
