Nikki Rayner

Nikki Rayner began her teaching career back in 2004 in County Durham. She moved to North Yorkshire in 2007 and taught at North Rigton C of E Primary. An opportunity for a leadership post became available in 2009 at Knaresborough St John’s C of E Primary where Nikki spent the next 8 years of her career. During this time she had the opportunity to lead Pupil Premium, was SENCO and was Year 5/6 phase leader. Nikki also enjoyed mentoring newly qualified teachers and helping to develop their careers. In 2015, Nikki moved to Pickhill with her family. When a teaching post became available in the village in 2016, she applied for the job and has never looked back! Nikki was Teacher in Charge at Pickhill and when the Head of School post was advertised, she decided to apply – this was an opportunity for career development whilst continuing to work in the schools she loved and with the pupils and staff at Pickhill, and Leeming and Londonderry. In her spare time, Nikki enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.
