Lauren Thompson
Lauren began her teaching career in 2013 after completing teacher training at York. She spent four years teaching Key Stage 1 in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire. Following a move to Aylesbury due to her husband’s RAF posting, she taught there for two years, before relocating to North Yorkshire. Since then, she has worked across two schools, gaining experience with all primary age groups up to Year 6. Lauren is also a mother to two girls, aged 3 and 5, which enhances her understanding of child development and inspires her to do the best for every child. Since joining Pickhill in 2023, Lauren has enjoyed getting involved in every aspect of school life including school council, OPAL, the nativity, sporting events and school fayres.
