Friends of Pickhill School

20220717_191942000_iOS

FOPS stands for 'Friends of Pickhill School' and is a small group, made up of parents, that meets once a month, to help to raise money for the school through fund raising days and activities.

Money raised has helped to provide IT equipment (every child now has their own device), new apparatus, swimming lessons, days  out and trips out among many other things.  We raise several thousands of pounds each year.  Some of our events are the Easter Eggstravaganza and the Strawberry Fayre as well as regular Film Nights, Pub Quizzes and the Autumn Boogie Bash.

Any one can join and we are always delighted to receive new members and ideas.  We've had people who have baked cakes, taken photographs, done gardening, put up marquees, manned stalls, delivered leaflets, organised events, shopped for food for events, acted as first aiders etc.  We all work part-time or full-time so we understand how busy parents are and spread the workload out.  Our current members are:

Chairperson – Natalie Reade, Treasurer – Frances Bainbridge, Secretary – Frances Stanyer, Marketing/Publicity - Vicky Holyer

FOPS diary dates 20242025 (2) (002)
Please come along to our meetings or have a chat with us at the next event.

About Synergy Schools

Synergy Schools is a federation of primary schools in the north of North Yorkshire. The federation was formed in September 2018 when Brompton-on-Swale and Crakehall Church of England Primary Schools successfully shared senior leadership capacity. In July 2021, the federation welcomed Leeming & Londonderry Community Primary and Pickhill Church of England Primary school into the federation.
